Carpentry Foreman (Non-Working) - 2nd Fix & Fire Doors

We are looking for an experienced Carpentry Foreman (Non-Working) with a strong carpentry background to oversee the carpentry package on a busy new-build development in Slough.
This is a long-term opportunity for the right person.
The role is site-based and focused on supervising 2nd fix carpentry, final fix, fire door installations, snagging and quality control. This is not a tools role.
You will be responsible for leading the carpentry package, ensuring works are completed safely, to a high standard and on programme, while managing the associated paperwork, inspections and fire door records.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise 2nd fix and final fix carpentry works.
- Manage subcontract and price-work carpenters.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship and quality.
- Carry out inspections before works are signed off.
- Manage snagging through to completion.
- Ensure fire door installations meet specification.
- Complete fire door records accurately.
- Complete site paperwork, quality inspections and progress records.
- Coordinate labour, materials and other trades to keep works progressing.
- Report progress, issues and programme risks to site management.
- Maintain good housekeeping and health & safety standards.
What We're Looking For
Applicants should have:
- Strong carpentry background.
- Experience in a supervisory or foreman role.
- Experience supervising 2nd fix and final fix carpentry on new-build projects.
- Good knowledge of fire door installation requirements.
- Experience completing fire door documentation and quality inspections.
- Experience managing subcontract or price-work carpenters.
- Strong organisation and communication skills.
- Ability to plan ahead and keep works moving to programme.
Essential Qualifications
- Valid CSCS card.
- SSSTS or SMSTS.
- Valid First Aid certificate.
- Right to work in the UK.
