Head of Procurement
Location: Maidenhead, 2 days a week in the office, 3 from home
Contract Type: Permanent
Salary: Circa £70k - 75k per annum
Hours: Full time 37 hours per week, Mon – Fri
What You’ll Be Doing
We are seeking an experienced Head of Procurement to lead our global function and shape the future of procurement across the Commission. You'll oversee approximately £30 million of non-pay spend and play a key role in ensuring we achieve value for money while maintaining strong supplier relationships and robust governance.
Reporting to the Director of Finance and Corporate Services, you'll work with colleagues across our international operations to drive improvements in the way we buy goods and services. You'll lead major sourcing projects, negotiate high-value contracts and help strengthen procurement practices across the organisation. You'll look for opportunities to reduce costs, improve efficiency and manage risk. You'll also help build stronger supplier management processes, use market insight to inform decision-making and support the delivery of our long-term strategic objectives.
This is an influential role with plenty of space to make an impact. It offers the chance to combine strategic thinking with hands-on delivery while helping to shape procurement across a global organisation.
What You Need To Have

Extensive procurement and supply chain management experience

Experience leading procurement strategy across multiple regions or countries

Strong commercial acumen and exceptional negotiation skills

Significant experience operating at a senior leadership level

A strong understanding of global procurement practices, supplier management and contract negotiation

Knowledge of international trade regulations, compliance standards and procurement governance

The ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and drive organisational change
