Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Hotel Housekeeper to join our hospitality team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of guest rooms and public areas, ensuring a high standard of hygiene and comfort for our guests. Previous hotel experience and a background in hospitality or janitorial work are highly desirable. This role offers an excellent opportunity to be part of a professional environment committed to delivering exceptional guest service.

Duties

Clean and sanitise guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and replenishing amenities
Maintain cleanliness of public areas such as corridors, lobbies, and restrooms
Report any maintenance issues or damages observed during cleaning
Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are used safely and stored properly
Follow health and safety procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe environment for guests and staff
Assist with laundry duties as required, including washing, folding, and organising linen
Restock supplies in guest rooms and public areas to ensure availability at all times
Adhere to hotel policies regarding confidentiality, security, and guest privacy

Qualifications

Previous experience in hotel housekeeping or janitorial roles is preferred
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high standards of cleanliness
Good organisational skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure
Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour suitable for hospitality environments
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, afternoons, or evenings as required
Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to cleaning practices is advantageous
