Job Description:
We are currently looking to recruit a Junior Engineer to join our busy maintenance team at Hypnos. The successful applicant will work closely alongside our Lead Engineer whilst learning and completing the following;
Assisting (until fully trained) in the maintenance and repair of all Production based Machinery at our Princes Risborough manufacturing facility. This will include performing pre planned preventative maintenance to ensure the smooth operation of all production machines.
Perform regular inspections of equipment and undertake maintenance through PPM schedule and ensure that machine maintenance procedures are recorded on individual machine logs.
Servicing of Sewing machines, Tape edge machines and various type of border making machinery to the required standard.
To assist the Maintenance team with various facility tasks as required.
To become a valued member of the Maintenance / Facilities team, helping to motivate the team through effective communication.
To ensure adherence to all Health & Safety SSOW / Risk Assessments when carrying out all tasks.
Willing to participate in various learning experiences, which may include attending workshops and training sessions.

Job Description:
1. JOB PURPOSE - To ensure maximum machine and process reliability and availability by developing procedures to ensure the most effective utilisation of the assets with the manufacturing facility and facility infrastructure.
2. ORGANISATION
1) Carry out preventive maintenance tasks as scheduled during the shift to the required standard.
2) Conduct continuous machine observation and measurement during the shift, identifying potential machine failure, safety risk or deterioration in output, waste, or quality performance from machine standards.
3) Determine cause of potential failure or performance deterioration, and either complete remedial work during shift or brief subsequent shift and Maintenance Manager on issue, cause and recommended solution.
4) Use manuals and failure history to develop preventative tasks. Brief the Maintenance Manager of the tasks and its purpose.
5) Provide Associate Training where appropriate, and provide a signed record of training to the Production Manager at the end of shift.
6) Conduct risk assessment prior to any maintenance work and ensure conclusions are implemented prior to the start of the work to remove hazards.
7) Ensure that equipment is handed back to production in 100% safe condition.
1) Ensure regular standardised work conformation audits are undertaken and achieve world class levels of conformance. Identify reasons for non-conformance and rectify.
2) Working with teams to implement a culture of Continuous Improvement.
3) Work within a culture of continuous improvement within the Maintenance Team.

Preferably Apprentice Trained.·

Experience of inverter, servo, and DC Drives NOT ESSENTIAL·
Worked with circuits from 415 to 24VDC power & control.·
Carried out PPM.·
Understanding of pneumatics.·
Read mechanical drawings NOT ESSENTIAL·
Fabrication experience. NOT ESSENTIAL
