Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Cheerleading Coach to assist / head coach ( depending on experience ) our cheerleading team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sports coaching and a desire to educate and inspire young athletes. This role involves developing cheerleading skills, fostering teamwork, and promoting a positive and energetic environment for all participants. Head coach - £30 per hour
Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct regular training sessions to develop cheerleading techniques, routines, and stunts.
- Educate team members on the fundamentals of cheerleading, including choreography, tumbling, and safety practices.
- Organise and oversee team practices, ensuring that all activities are conducted safely and effectively.
- Foster a spirit of teamwork and camaraderie among team members, encouraging mutual support and respect.
- Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and school officials regarding schedules, expectations, and performance feedback.
- Monitor the progress of each athlete, providing constructive feedback to help them improve their skills.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations during all practices and events.
Skills
- Proven experience in sports coaching, preferably in cheerleading or a related field.
- Strong educational skills with the ability to teach complex techniques in an understandable manner.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with athletes of varying ages and skill levels.
- Ability to motivate and inspire young athletes to achieve their personal best while fostering a positive team environment.
- Strong organisational skills
- A thorough understanding of cheerleading safety protocols and injury prevention measures.
A coaching qualification is preferred but not essential.
