Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Breakfast Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of breakfast dishes, ensuring high standards of food quality, safety, and presentation. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about food preparation and culinary arts to contribute to a welcoming dining environment. The Breakfast Chef will work closely with kitchen staff to deliver a memorable breakfast experience for our guests, maintaining efficiency and consistency in all food offerings.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a range of breakfast items, including eggs, pancakes, pastries, and other hot and cold dishes
Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations at all times
Assist in menu planning and development for breakfast offerings
Monitor stock levels and communicate supply needs to management
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, grills, and fryers
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction
Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to prevent cross-contamination and foodborne illnesses
Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth kitchen operations

Experience

Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen environment
Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene
Previous experience working in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred
Familiarity with meal preparation techniques specific to breakfast cuisine
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Experience with serving or assisting front-of-house staff is advantageous but not essential
