About the Role:

We are looking for a Senior Compliance and Risk Manager who can take ownership of our company-wide compliance framework and operational risk strategy. You are not simply reviewing policies and procedures; you are helping shape the governance culture of the organization. You will lead a skilled compliance team, bridge the gap between business operations and regulatory obligations, and ensure the company operates with accountability, transparency, and efficiency.

You are the trusted advisor in a room full of operational leaders, stakeholders, and executive management teams.

Key Responsibilities:Compliance Framework Ownership:

Maintain and improve company-wide compliance policies, governance procedures, and internal control systems. Ensure operational alignment with legal and regulatory standards.

Enterprise Risk Management:

Lead operational and financial risk assessments across departments. Develop mitigation strategies that reduce exposure while supporting business continuity and growth.

Team Leadership:

Manage and mentor compliance and risk professionals. Conduct performance reviews, provide leadership guidance, and strengthen team capability through coaching and development initiatives.

Audit Coordination:

Oversee internal audits, external assessments, and compliance reviews. Ensure documentation accuracy and timely resolution of findings and recommendations.

Regulatory Monitoring:

Track evolving industry regulations and ensure the organization remains compliant with applicable laws, standards, and operational requirements.

Stakeholder Management:

Present compliance updates, risk assessments, and governance recommendations to executive leadership and operational stakeholders. You can clearly explain why policies matter, not simply enforce them.

What We Are Looking For:Experience:

6+ years of experience in compliance, corporate governance, risk management, or audit environments, with at least 2 years in a senior leadership or mentoring role.

Industry Background:

Experience within healthcare, hospitality, technology, finance, or corporate operations environments is highly preferred.

Technical Knowledge:

Strong understanding of compliance controls, risk assessment frameworks, operational governance, and audit management processes.

Systems Experience:

Experience using compliance monitoring platforms, reporting systems, ERP software, and operational governance tools.

Communication Skills:

Excellent leadership and presentation abilities. You can communicate complex compliance concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Mindset:

You are analytical, proactive, and commercially aware. You know when to enforce strict controls and when to support practical operational flexibility to keep the business moving forward.

Pay: £6,300.00-£6,700.00 per month
