We have a position for an Electric motor rewinder.
The candidate should be skilled in rewinding both AC and DC motors.
General mechanical & electrical fitting skills would be an advantage.
Must be able to work in a team, solo and to tight deadlines.
Overtime is sometimes needed at short notice.
To carry out all winding tasks in the workshop and to locate, repair or replace damaged coils or completely rewind all the wire coils used in electrical components.
To bring electro/mechanical knowledge to the Winding Shop specifically to rewind AC and DC motors, stators and armatures
You
Proven experience in winding, specifically to rewind AC and DC motors, stators, armatures and transformers.
Customer and solution focussed.
Knowledge of safety protocols and PPE.
Willingness to occasionally work outside of normal working hours.
Attention to detail with good communications skills.
Good time keeping skills are essential.

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Winding stators, rotors, armatures and field coils using specialised copper wire and precision tools
- Carrying out solvent degreasing using cleaning equipment
- Brazing electrical connections flame‑welding methods
- Performing electrical resistance and high‑voltage testing
- Completing accurate dimensional checks using verniers, micrometres. and gauges
This is a hands‑on role requiring accuracy, discipline and a passion for producing high‑quality engineering work.
