Leaf Creative Garden Centre is looking for a talented and enthusiastic Chef de Partie to join our busy restaurant kitchen.

About the Role

As Chef de Partie, you will be responsible for managing your own section within the kitchen, ensuring food is prepared and presented to the highest standards. Working closely with the Head Chef and wider kitchen team, you will help deliver a consistently excellent dining experience for our customers.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Prepare, cook, and present dishes to company standards
Take ownership of your designated kitchen section
Ensure all food is prepared efficiently and consistently during service
Support the Head Chef with daily kitchen operations
Assist with menu development and seasonal menu changes
Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and portion control
Ensure all food safety, hygiene, and HACCP procedures are followed
Monitor stock levels and report ordering requirements
Help reduce waste and maximise kitchen efficiency
Ensure correct storage, rotation, and labelling of all food products
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment
Support and mentor junior kitchen team members where required
Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure excellent customer service

Skills and Experience Required

Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or an experienced Commis Chef ready for the next step
Passion for fresh food and quality ingredients
Strong organisational and time-management skills
Ability to work calmly and efficiently in a busy kitchen environment
Excellent attention to detail
Good understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
Positive attitude and strong team-working skills
Reliable, hardworking, and professional approach

Desirable Qualifications

Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate or equivalent
NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Professional Cookery, or relevant experience
Experience working within a restaurant, café, garden centre, or hospitality setting
