About the Role
We are looking for a compassionate and reliable Optical Domiciliary Manager to join our team at The Vision Centre. This is a rewarding role supporting our optometrist in delivering high-quality eye care services directly to patients in their own homes and in care home settings.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in the community and making a real difference to patients who may be unable to attend practice-based appointments.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting the optometrist during domiciliary visits
- Preparing and maintaining optical equipment for mobile clinics
- Supporting patients throughout their eye examinations with care and professionalism
- Handling administrative duties, including patient records and appointment coordination
- Ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience in home and care home environments
- Ordering and delivery of Spectacles
Requirements
- Full UK driving licence (essential) with no more than 6 penalty points – you will be travelling to patient homes and care homes
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- A caring and patient-focused approach
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Previous optical dispensing experience is essential.
