Full job description

Be the face of an independent small animal veterinary practice in Macclesfield!

We are looking to employ a part-time receptionist, ideally with some experience in the veterinary industry to join us on our exciting adventure of a small animal veterinary practice start-up.

The ideal candidate will have worked in the veterinary industry previously, however, this is not essential but previous reception or administrative work would be favourable.

This role is Part Time initially but there will be scope for increased hours in the future.

Initial Hours:

Monday 3pm-7pm

Tuesday 8am-7pm

Friday 3pm-7pm

About the practice

Currently the team consists of four veterinary surgeons , four veterinary nurses and one full time receptionist.

The practice looks to provide a high quality veterinary service with a focus on client care. We want to create strong bonds with our clients by providing longer 30 minute consult times, opportunities within the community such as working with local businesses and stands at local events.

The ethos of the practice for its employees is to provide greater opportunity for personal and professional growth through profit sharing and potential for progression for every employee within the business. Further training is actively encouraged and funded where appropriate.

As a new business we strive to reduce the effect we have on our planet with a focus on sustainability including recyclable packaging/prescriptions, paperless systems and much more.

Job responsibilities

Some of the responsibilities are listed below however we encourage further training to allow for the candidates own personal development.

Answering, screening and forwarding incoming phone calls.
Greeting clients on arrival
Developing bonds and relationships within the community
Administrative tasks including emails, lab reports and diary management
Taking payments and debt management
Cleaning responsibilities within reception and client facing areas

Pay: £12.71 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

Macclesfield SK10 1JQ: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

Veterinary Receptionist: 1 year (preferred)
Customer Service: 1 year (preferred)
