Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a diligent and efficient Picker & Packer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that products are accurately packed and prepared for shipment. This position requires attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality control. A positive, enthusiastic attitude and ability to adhere to instructions is essential with a keen eye for detail.

Duties

Load and unload products from lorries and containers, ensuring safe handling at all times.
Conduct quality control checks to verify that products meet established standards before packing.
Utilise warehouse management systems to track inventory and manage stock levels effectively.
Perform picking and packing tasks with precision, ensuring that orders are fulfilled accurately.
Handle materials safely and efficiently, adhering to all safety protocols within the warehouse environment.
Engage in heavy lifting as required, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury.
Computer competent ensuring accuracy when shipping.
Maintain a clean and organised workspace, contributing to overall warehouse efficiency.
Adherence to Health & Safety and company policies.

Experience

Previous experience in a warehouse setting is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
Mechanical knowledge related to warehouse equipment operation is beneficial.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating independence is required.
Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control throughout the packing process.
Ability to speak and understand English is essential as you will need to read off picking sheets, ship orders and deal with customers in the cash & carry.

The hours are Mon-Wed -08:00am - 16:00pm Thursday 08:00am to 18:00pm and Friday 08:00am - 14:00pm - If you are motivated by working in a supportive team environment and have the skills necessary for this role, we encourage you to apply for the Packer position today!
