The Role
We are looking for two machine shop operators to operate, set up and maintain machining equipment to produce precision components supporting fabrication and welding activities, ensuring quality and safety standards are met.
Our machine shop is an integral part of our workshop to produce quality products that are supplied to the Agricultural and industrial markets. Within the machine shop area, you will interpret and follow work orders and drawings. Operating and maintain various machinery, including plasma, tube laser, press brakes and bending, ensuring they are in good working order.
You will set up machine according to the specifications of the task required, monitoring while they are running, adjusting as necessary. Test and adjust machine speeds or actions, according to product specifications, using gauges and hand tools
It is the responsibility of the machine shop operators to inspect and measure the finished product to ensure they meet the requirements. Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting, identifying any defects and reporting these in a timely and efficient manner.

Qualifications and Experience:

Proven experience in machining or engineering environment

Relevant apprenticeship or technical training preferred

Experience with CNC machining / Tube Laser advantageous

Familiarity with workshop safety and quality standards
