Full job description

Job Introduction

Igne are seeking a meticulous and proactive Credit Controller to join our team in Ross-On-Wye. We have an urgent need for someone to join us for the next few months to assist with the timely collection of outstanding debts while maintaining positive relationships with clients. This is a full-time role working 40 hours each week.

As a Credit Controller, you will play a key role in maintaining healthy cash flow by ensuring the timely collection of outstanding payments. Working closely with internal teams and external clients, you'll be responsible for managing debtor accounts, resolving payment queries, and providing accurate reporting to support business performance.

Responsibilities:

Monitor and manage the accounts receivable ledger to ensure timely collection of payments
Communicate with clients via phone and email to follow up on outstanding invoices
Maintain accurate records of all communications and transactions related to debt collection
Collaborate with the accounts payable team to resolve any discrepancies or disputes regarding payments
Utilise accounting software for data entry and management of financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies
Prepare regular reports on outstanding debts and present findings to management

Essential

Proven experience in a credit control
Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail, enabling effective assessment of financial information
Strong data entry skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating good organisational skills
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to maintain positive client relationships
Proficient using Microsoft Excel
