Children’s Support Worker – Adventure & Activities
Location: Bishops Castle SY9 (Full UK Driving Licence required due to remote setting)
Salary: £34,290 - £37,500 (Including sleeps)
Live-in role: 4 days on, 8 off (averaging 39 hours per week over the month).
About Keys Group Activity & Intervention:
This is not your typical care role. You’ll be based in a specialist residential setting where you live on-site during your 4 working days (with accommodation and meals provided).
You’ll support young people aged 8–18, helping them move away from challenging situations and develop positive routines, confidence, and independence.
Our programme combines care with adventure — from climbing and kayaking to mountain biking and hiking. You’ll play a key role in transforming lives, helping young people build resilience and create lasting positive change in a supportive, close-knit environment.
What You’ll Be Doing

Lead and take part in outdoor activities (climbing, kayaking, hiking, biking)

Support young people through activity-based, structured care

Build strong relationships as a positive role model

Help develop life skills like cooking, budgeting, and daily routines

Manage behaviour using calm, trauma-informed approaches

Complete basic records and follow safeguarding processes
Requirements

Full UK Driving Licence

Aged 21+
-
Ability to take part in outdoor activities (Mountain biking, canoeing, climbing, and more)

Ability to work a live-in shift pattern (4 on / 7 off)
