Optimum RX Lens Specialists are one of the fastest-growing independent manufacturers of spectacle lenses in the UK, working with opticians across the country to manufacture specialist lenses and deliver outstanding customer service.
Due to our continued growth, we are looking for a Dispatch Technician to join our team and support the efficient movement of goods both into and out of our laboratory.
The Role
Working within our Dispatch team, you will play an important role in our day-to-day logistics operation, supporting both inbound deliveries and the dispatch of finished customer orders.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Receiving and processing inbound deliveries, checking goods against relevant documentation and ensuring they are directed to the correct department
- Recording incoming goods accurately on relevant systems
- Identifying and escalating any discrepancies or issues with deliveries
- Processing and preparing completed customer orders for dispatch
- Accurately matching products, orders and relevant documentation
- Packaging products securely and to the required standard
- Organising orders by delivery method, courier and priority
- Processing courier and delivery information
- Supporting daily courier collections and ensuring dispatch deadlines are achieved
- Tracking and helping resolve dispatch or delivery queries where required
- Maintaining accurate inbound and outbound logistics records
- Working closely with Production, Quality Control and Customer Experience to ensure the smooth flow of goods through the business
- Helping maintain an organised and efficient dispatch and goods-in area
No previous optical experience is required as full training will be provided through our Optimum Academy. Previous dispatch or logistics experience would be an advantage, but most importantly we are looking for someone who is organised, accurate, reliable and comfortable working to daily deadlines.

The working hours are 2:00pm–10:00pm, Monday–Friday. Please note that shift patterns may be subject to change in line with the needs of the business.
