About Us

If you're from Barrow and the surrounding area, there's a good chance you already know Barrow Eats.

What you might not know is that the business behind Barrow Eats has grown far beyond Barrow.

Barrow Eats is part of Local Eats, a network of locally branded food-ordering platforms operating in towns and communities across the UK and Ireland. Our central team is based here in Barrow-in-Furness and supports a growing network of local operators and thousands of independent takeaways and restaurants.

We're now looking for a Marketing & Campaigns Executive to join that team.

You'll be responsible for helping deliver the same type of marketing you see every day from Barrow Eats across a portfolio of Local Eats areas around the country.

If you're familiar with the social media posts, emails, app notifications, promotions and offers you see from Barrow Eats, you'll already have a good idea of the type of marketing you'll be helping to deliver.

About the Role

This is a hands-on marketing role focused on delivering campaigns and day-to-day marketing activity across a portfolio of Local Eats areas.

You'll work from an established Local Eats marketing playbook, with proven campaigns, systems, templates and strategies already in place. Rather than having to build a marketing strategy from scratch, your focus will be on implementing it consistently, adapting campaigns for different local areas and making sure activity is delivered to a high standard.

We're ideally looking for someone with previous experience in marketing, social media, content or a similar digital role who can bring their own skills and ideas to the position.

You'll need to be highly organised, creative, commercially aware, comfortable with technology and capable of managing marketing activity across multiple areas at the same time.

For the right person, there is significant scope to develop the role as Local Eats continues to grow.

Responsibilities

Manage the day-to-day marketing activity for a portfolio of Local Eats areas.
Plan, create and deliver social media content across multiple local brands.
Create and schedule customer email and app push notification campaigns.
Roll out Local Eats promotions, offers and national campaigns across your areas.
Adapt central campaigns and content to make them relevant to individual towns and audiences.
Work closely with our Business Development Managers and local Local Eats operators to identify opportunities and support growth.
Help manage paid advertising campaigns across platforms including Meta and Google.
Use AI and our internal marketing tools to create, adapt and improve marketing content.
Review campaign performance, customer engagement and order data to understand what's working.
Ensure marketing activity is delivered consistently, accurately and on time across all areas.
Identify opportunities to improve activity and contribute your own ideas as you become familiar with the role.

Experience & Skills

We're ideally looking for someone with previous experience in marketing, digital marketing, social media, content or a similar role.

Experience with some of the following would be particularly useful:

Social media management and content creation.
Email marketing.
Meta/Facebook advertising.
Google Ads.
Canva or similar design tools.
AI tools such as ChatGPT.
Using data or analytics to measure marketing performance.

You don't need to be an expert in every area. Full training will be provided on our systems, processes and the Local Eats marketing playbook.

More importantly, we're looking for someone who is:

Highly organised and able to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines at once.
A strong written communicator with excellent attention to detail.
Creative and capable of producing engaging customer-facing content.
Confident using technology and learning new systems.
Commercially minded and interested in what drives customers to order.
Proactive, reliable and comfortable taking ownership of their workload.
Able to follow an established strategy while also contributing ideas of their own.
Comfortable working as part of a fast-moving team and communicating with people across the business.

What We Offer

£27,000–£32,000 per year, depending on experience.
