Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Mobile Repair Technician to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a variety of mobile equipment and machinery in diverse environments. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical and electrical background, who are eager to apply their expertise in a hands-on setting. The position involves working with specialised tools and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards are met at all times.

Responsibilities

Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on mobile equipment, including excavators, forklifts, and other heavy machinery
Diagnose faults using schematics and electrical diagrams, then perform repairs accordingly
Fabricate components as needed using welding, soldering, and assembly techniques
Utilise hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to repair or replace parts efficiently
Perform mechanical repairs such as welding, fabrication, and assembly of parts
Troubleshoot electrical issues using schematics and electrical experience to identify solutions
Ensure all repairs meet safety standards and comply with company policies
Assist in the installation and setup of new equipment or machinery on-site
Maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance activities, and parts used
Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding repair status and technical issues

Requirements

Proven experience in fabrication, welding, soldering, electrical work, or mechanical repair
Strong knowledge of schematics and electrical diagrams
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance tools
Experience with heavy machinery such as excavators or forklifts is highly desirable
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
Mechanical knowledge combined with practical skills in assembly and equipment repair
Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively
Customer service orientation with clear communication skills
Relevant certifications or qualifications in electrical or mechanical trades are advantageous

Pay: £26,420.00-£32,000.00 per year
