Full job description

Pharmacy experience is mandatory for this role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will support pharmacists in dispensing medications, providing excellent patient care, and ensuring the smooth operation of the pharmacy. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience in a professional healthcare environment and develop essential skills in pharmacy practice.

Duties

Assist pharmacists with dispensing prescriptions accurately and efficiently
Manage medication stock levels, including ordering and inventory control
Prepare and package medications for patient use under supervision
Provide basic medication administration support as directed by healthcare professionals
Offer friendly and professional assistance to patients, answering queries and guiding them on medication usage
Maintain accurate records of prescriptions and patient interactions in compliance with data protection regulations
Support the pharmacy team with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining cleanliness of the work area

Qualifications

Must have pharmacy experience in uk or overseas pharmacist degree.
Knowledge of medication administration procedures is advantageous
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
Excellent communication skills with a compassionate approach to patient care
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
A recognised qualification or certification in pharmacy assistance or related field is desirable but not mandatory
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to healthcare regulations

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: £11.00-£12.71 per hour

Work Location: In person
