Spa Therapy & Retail Manager

Location: Ardencote Hotel & Spa, Warwickshire
Reporting To: Head of Spa, Hotel Operations Manager & Managing Director
Department: Spa - Therapy & Retail

Ardencote Hotel & Spa is seeking an exceptional Spa Therapy & Retail Manager to lead and develop our Therapy and Retail departments, ensuring outstanding guest experiences while driving commercial success.

This is a pivotal leadership role for an ambitious, commercially minded spa professional who thrives in a luxury hospitality environment. You will be responsible for the operational and financial performance of both departments, leading a talented team to deliver exceptional service standards, maximise revenue opportunities, and create memorable guest journeys.

Working closely with the Head of Spa and wider hotel leadership team, you will play a key role in shaping the future success of our spa offering while maintaining the luxury standards that Ardencote is renowned for.

What You'll Be Doing

Leading Operational Excellence

Overseeing the day-to-day management of the Therapy and Retail departments
Ensuring the highest standards of service delivery, presentation and professionalism
Managing treatment room utilisation and operational efficiency
Supporting spa events, promotions and business initiatives
Leading by example through active involvement in daily operations, including weekends and shift management

Driving Commercial Performance

Delivering revenue growth across therapy treatments and retail sales
Monitoring departmental performance against budgets, forecasts and KPIs
Implementing strategies to maximise treatment bookings and retail spend
Analysing business performance and identify opportunities for growth
Maintaining effective stock control, purchasing and inventory management

Enhancing the Guest Experience

Creating a seamless, personalised and memorable spa journey for every guest
Ensuring all guest interactions reflect Ardencote's luxury service standards
Managing guest feedback and resolve concerns professionally and effectively
Continuously seek opportunities to improve service delivery and guest satisfaction

Developing High-Performing Teams

Leading recruitment, onboarding, training and development of Therapy and Retail teams
Coaching, motivating and inspiring colleagues to achieve their full potential
Conducting performance reviews and support career development planning
Creating a positive, inclusive and professional working environment
Managing rotas and payroll in line with business needs and budgets

Maintaining Compliance & Standards

Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety legislation and company policies
Upholding high standards of hygiene, cleanliness and operational safety
Maintaining accurate records and support audit requirements
Championing a safe and secure environment for guests and team members

About You

We're looking for a passionate and experienced leader who brings:

Have previous management experience within a luxury spa, wellness, hospitality or retail environment
Excellent commercial awareness with experience managing budgets, payroll and KPIs
Proven ability to drive retail performance and revenue growth
Excellent people leadership, coaching and team development skills
Outstanding guest service and relationship-building abilities
Excellent organisational, planning and problem-solving skills
Confidence working in a fast-paced, hands-on operational role
Knowledge of Health & Safety, compliance and spa operational standards

Further Information:

Full-time: Working 45 hours per week
Working 5 out of 7 days a week
Shift Pattern: As required
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum
Full flexibility is key as you will be expected to work as and when necessary to meet the needs of the team and the business
