Job Role
In this role you will support our busy Development team by providing general administrative support, assisting with development processes including some on site work.
Key Duties

To undertake the production of letters/communications and maintain development reports, ensuring all written communications produced are accurate and clearly presented.

To assist Development Managers with administrative tasks, including some work out on site. This includes but is not limited to:

Collating handover information

Taking meter readings
-
Organising keys at handover
-
To be responsible for administration of various development projects and ensuring IT systems are kept up to date.

Processing purchase orders and invoices.

Organise and manage end of year defects inspections with the Employers Agent and Developers. Monitor and ensure all works are recorded and carried out.

Organising contractors to carry out remedial works not carried out by the Developer.

Undertake regular customer surveys, collating results and preparing internal reports.

Manage the disconnections process for various schemes for demolition projects. Liaising with utility companies for meter removals and supply disconnections.

Liaise with Local Authorities to ensure void properties claim exemption from Council Tax.

Assisting the Senior Development Manager with Small Land Matters applications, including instructing valuers and solicitors.

To carry out filing accurately and promptly and to ensure the maintenance of a well organised electronic filing system.

To ensure all records are maintained confidentially at all times and to ensure compliance with current Data Protection Legislation.
- To deal with a wide range of enquiries from tenants, contractors and other members of staff within agreed timescales.

Liaising with purchasers; and

Seeking approval to dispose of land.

To undertake any other duties that might reasonably be required by the Head of Development/Senior Development Manager.
What you will need;

GCSEs or equivalent in Maths and English.

Experience of working in the housing sector and/or building maintenance environment

Experience of working with the general public and providing excellent customer service

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Excellent organisational and administrative skills

Enthusiasm and a positive approach in working with others combined with the ability to work independently

Ability to work accurately and flexibly as part of a busy team with good problem solving skills

A desire to learn and grow in the role, undertaking training and development as necessary

Must be able to drive and have access to a suitable vehicle for occasional site visits
