The Glasgow Marriott Hotel is looking for a Housekeeping Supervisor to join our Housekeeping team. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on responsibility and driving guest satisfaction through excellent service.

Located near premier attractions like OVO Hydro, Hampden Park, and the University of Glasgow, our hotel offers a vibrant and welcoming environment for both guests and staff. The Impact You’ll Make: As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you will ensure staff works together as a cohesive team, optimizing service and meeting guest needs. Adhering to company safety and security policies, you will maintain high standards of uniform and personal appearance. Your role will involve inspecting guest rooms and public areas, ensuring cleanliness meets our high standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Inspect guest rooms, public areas, etc. after being cleaned by Housekeeper to ensure quality standards.
Run sold room reports, verify room status, determine discrepant rooms, prioritize room cleaning, and update status of departing guest rooms.
Assist Housekeeping management in managing daily activities.
Act as a liaison to coordinate the efforts of Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office, and Laundry.
Document and resolve issues with discrepant rooms with the Front Desk.
Prepare, distribute, and communicate changes in room assignments.
Communicate issues to next shift.
Complete required paperwork.
Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counselling, disciplining, and motivating and coaching employees.
Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety training and certifications.
Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets.

Skilled in effective communication and negotiation
Flexibility, problem-solving skills, and multi-tasking ability
Previous experience as Housekeeping Supervisor preferred
