Full job description

NTERNAL APPLICANTS MUST APPLY VIA MYSELF

NLC4 £26,991 - £28,283

35 hours per week

Based at primarily at Strathclyde Country Park, Motherwell in this predominantly customer facing role, you will assist in the provision of a reception, administration and booking service.

Representing the Council, you will require excellent customer service skills and previous reception experience would be advantageous.

You should be educated to a SVQ2, National Certificate, Higher grade or equivalent in a relevant subject such as office administration. You will have moderate office experience and an understanding of general office procedures including filling and data handling systems. It is desirable that you have a working knowledge of booking systems and previous experience of operating a cash register and of cash reconciliation.

You will possess good keyboard skills and have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office to include word, excel and databases. The post will involve dealing with members of the public therefore you should have good customer care skills; good organisational skills, be able to solve problems and work on our own initiative.

Whilst you work predominantly in Strathclyde Country Park you may be asked on occasion to work from our other Country Park, Drumpellier and therefore the ability to travel across North Lanarkshire is required.

Knowledge of local government computer systems is desirable such as PECOS.

Work pattern:

Monday – Friday 08:45am-16:30pm with 45 mins unpaid break.
