A little more about your role…
WSP are seeking an enthusiastic and talented specialist BIM Coordinator to join the Civil team based in our Wales and South-West region, and we are open to applications from professionals at varying stages of their career, with the role shaped around capability and experience.
You’ll be working alongside a team of talented people ranging from our early career professionals to established engineers, project managers and digital leads. You will work across the Civil business, alongside a wide range of other disciplines, across a diverse range of exciting civil infrastructure projects.
Your role will be at the heart of our award-winning digital project delivery team, using your specialist skills and expertise to help us continually improve the management, productivity, and quality of our BIM deliverables through the expanded use of advanced digital workflows and cutting-edge technologies.

What You Will Do (Key Responsibilities)
- Provide advanced specialist support for planning, mobilisation and production of Civil structure BIM models, data, and documents using Autodesk Revit and associated technologies
- Support project management and project digital/BIM leads with the development and enforcement of digital delivery standards, methods and procedures including alignment to WSP UK Civil Information Management Framework
- Uphold WSP’s commitment to quality, future ready, and providing value-add across projects
- Implement WSP UK Civil’s ‘model first’ principles across relevant projects
- Creation, modification and deployment of model authoring templates and configurations to meet project requirements
- Creation and management of re-usable BIM component to support consistent and smarter parametric modelling
- Closely collaborate with digital leads, computational engineers, surveyors and other discipline specialists to develop streamlined digital workflows using existing and emerging technologies
- Be a key member of Civil working groups to develop smarter and more efficient ways of working
- Implement and maintain BIM model validation and quality control processes
- Perform regular audits and distribute lessons learned and best practice
- Use skills to build or co-develop automations with our in-house application developers in-line with WSP UK Civil Automation Framework
- Use skills to make better use of BIM data across projects

What we will be looking for you to demonstrate..
- Proven ability to coordinate others to meet project goals and objectives
- Solid knowledge of civil and structural design engineering and principles
- Must have strong proficiency in the advanced use, set-up and configuration of Bentley or Autodesk authoring tools (Such as Civil 3D, Revit, OpenBridges, etc.)
- Strong experience in the use of CDEs such as ACC/Forma and Bentley ProjectWise
- Practical knowledge of technologies such as Navisworks, Rhino + Grasshopper and Dynamo
- Good experience with model data production and management
- Proven digital capability to work with others and develop smarter and more efficient ways of working
- Capability and enthusiasm to expand existing skillset with coding and data-analytics
- Civil engineering degree or similar
- Chartered or working towards engineering chartership
- Proven professional continual development in your career
