About Keysecure Safety Equipment

Keysecure Safety Equipment is a leading provider of height safety systems, access equipment and specialist maintenance services across the UK and Ireland. We design and deliver bespoke safety solutions for a wide range of organisations, including many well-known national brands.

Operating nationwide, our experienced engineering teams work directly at client sites to install, inspect and maintain height safety and access systems, helping improve safety and building infrastructure across multiple industries.

Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit a Trainee Height Safety Engineer to join our team.

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a career in the height safety and access engineering industry.

Working alongside our experienced engineers, you will receive structured training and gain hands-on experience in the installation, inspection and maintenance of height safety and access equipment across a variety of client sites throughout the UK.

The role includes extensive training and development, including industry certifications such as CSCS and NVQ qualifications, with opportunities for long-term career progression within this specialist field.

Key Responsibilities

Assist engineers with the installation of permanent access and safety equipment
Support the inspection and testing of height safety systems and safety assets
Assist with site preparation, equipment setup and project delivery
Work alongside engineers to ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently
Follow company health and safety procedures at all times
Participate in training and development programmes to build technical knowledge and competence

Person Specification

Essential

Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
Good attention to detail
Basic numeracy and literacy skills
Willingness to learn and develop technical skills within the height safety industry
Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, supervisors and clients
Comfortable working at height following appropriate training and safety procedures
Full UK driving licence (or the ability to travel to sites across the UK)
Flexibility to work varied hours and occasionally stay away from home when required

Desirable

Experience working within a construction, engineering or industrial environment
Experience working in confined spaces

Working Arrangements

This role is based from our Nuneaton office, with most work carried out at customer sites across the UK.

Due to the nature of site work and travel requirements, start and finish times may vary depending on project location. Overtime opportunities are available.
