About the Role

We are excited to offer a Degree Apprenticeship opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team as a Laboratory Technician at our Rushden site. This is a fantastic alternative to the traditional university route — you’ll gain hands-on experience in a real-world lab environment while studying towards a fully funded BSc (Hons) in Chemical Science through Manchester Metropolitan University (or a similar provider).

Key Responsibilities

Support the day-to-day running of the laboratory
Perform routine checks and maintenance of lab equipment
Assist with stock management and ordering of supplies
Help introduce and validate new equipment
Carry out basic pharmaceutical sample analysis
Accurately document and report data
Maintain a clean, safe, and audit-ready lab environment

Candidate Profile

A minimum of 104 UCAS points, including relevant A-levels (e.g., Chemistry or Biology)
Strong academic performance and a genuine interest in science
Good scientific judgement and analytical thinking
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
A proactive, tidy, and methodical approach to work
A team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
Formal Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent
