Overview

We are seeking a friendly and professional Receptionist/Gym Instructor to join our vibrant fitness centre. This dual-role position involves welcoming members, managing front desk operations, and providing guidance on fitness activities. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for health and fitness, excellent communication skills, and the ability to motivate clients. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to combine administrative duties with instructing and coaching in a dynamic environment.

Essential Requirements

Level 2 Gym Instructor Qualification

Level 3 Personal Trainer Qualification

First Aid Qualification

Experience in the gym environment

Responsibilities

Greet members and visitors in a courteous and professional manner, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
Manage front desk operations, including answering enquiries, booking classes, and processing memberships.
Maintain accurate records of member attendance and class schedules.
Assist clients with programme selections and provide basic guidance on gym equipment usage.
Lead fitness sessions or classes as required, demonstrating exercises safely and effectively.
Support members in achieving their fitness goals through motivation and personalised advice.
Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the reception area and gym facilities.
Handle administrative tasks such as data entry, billing, and correspondence efficiently.

Skills

Previous sports coaching experience is a must, with the ability to motivate individuals of varying fitness levels.
Strong teaching skills with the capacity to communicate clearly and effectively.
Knowledge of human anatomy to ensure safe exercise techniques and injury prevention.
Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple responsibilities seamlessly.
Friendly demeanour with outstanding customer service skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Basic computer literacy for managing bookings and member records.
