We're looking for an experienced butcher who takes pride in doing things properly and enjoys being part of a great team.
We spend a lot of time at work, so it's important that we enjoy it. We've built a friendly team who work hard, have a laugh and take real pride in what leaves the shop every day. We're looking for the right person to join us.
At G.F. White Traditional Butchers we still believe in traditional craftsmanship. We break down whole carcasses, dry-age our own beef, make our own sausages, cure our own bacon, bake our own pies and work closely with local farmers and suppliers. We know most of our customers by name and love being part of the thriving market town of Aylsham.

What you'll be doing
- Traditional butchery, including carcass preparation
- Serving and advising customers
- Preparing attractive displays
- Producing products for both our retail and catering customers
- Maintaining high food safety, hygiene and HACCP standards
- Stock control and general shop duties
You'll fit right in if you...
- Have at least two years' butchery experience
- Take pride in producing quality work
- Enjoy chatting with customers

- Want to keep learning and develop your skills
Food Hygiene, First Aid and Butchery qualifications are desirable.
Hours
Our normal opening hours are:
Monday-Friday: 7.30am-5.00pm
Saturday: 7.30am-1.30pm
We're happy to consider both full-time (4.5 day week) and part-time applications and can be flexible for the right person.
