Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and knowledgeable Commercial and/or Residential Property Lawyer to join our Property team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial and residential law, with the ability to navigate complex legal issues and provide sound advice to businesses. This role requires excellent negotiation skills and a proactive approach to legal challenges, ensuring that our clients' interests are protected while fostering positive business relationships.

Duties

Provide expert legal advice on a variety of commercial and/or residential property matters, including contracts, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate governance.
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Represent clients in negotiations with third parties, ensuring favourable terms and conditions are achieved.
Conduct legal research to support case preparation and provide informed recommendations.
Advise clients on risk management strategies and compliance issues related to their business operations.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure that legal considerations are integrated into business decisions.
Stay updated on changes in legislation affecting commercial and/or residential property law and advise clients accordingly.

Skills

Exceptional negotiation skills, with the ability to advocate effectively for clients while maintaining professional relationships.
Strong analytical skills to assess complex legal documents and identify potential issues.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, enabling clear articulation of legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders.
Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy in all aspects of work.
Ability to manage own caseload independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
Proven problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
