Full job description

The Main Purpose of Your Role

As a Front of House Assistant, your primary role is to ensure every customer enjoys a warm welcome and excellent service. You’ll support the smooth day-to-day running of the front of house areas .

Your key priorities and duties will be:

Greeting and welcoming guests in a warm and professional manner
Taking customer orders accurately and efficiently and offering information about menu items when required
Serve food and drinks with a friendly and helpful attitude
Check in with customers during their meal to make sure they’re happy and have everything they need
Preparing and serving drinks, including a variety of hot and cold beverages
Processing payments using the till system, handling both cash and card transactions
Clearing tables promptly and ensuring the restaurant remains clean and tidy
Washing cutlery, crockery, and pots, and maintaining cleanliness in food service areas
Maintaining a clean and welcoming front of house environment throughout the day
Housekeeping- making sure workstations and back of house areas are cleaned throughout the day
Dealing with customer complaints in a professional manner, directing to a manager if needed

Qualifications

Previous experience in food/serving environment is desirable
Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
A passion for quality food and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
