Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Yard Worker to join our team in Luddendenfoot, near Halifax. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting our shop-fitting and maintenance projects, ensuring that our operations run smoothly and efficiently. If you are hard-working, happy to take the initiative, a quick learner, and eager contribute your ideas to a rapidly developing company, we invite you to apply!

Responsibilities

Organising and maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient yard
Loading and unloading materials, tools, and equipment
Delivering and collecting goods between sites, suppliers, and the yard
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion
Supporting delivery drivers with logistics and routes
Supporting waste management and recycling procedures
Following safety protocols and guidelines at all times
Report any equipment or safety issues to management
Tracking of inventory, stock, Goods-Inwards, and long-term hire equipment
Issuing equipment to engineers as required, ensuring they are kept in a good condition

Qualifications

Valid full driving license (clean preferred)
Experience in driving and operating vehicles (essential)
Good communication skills (essential)
IT competent (essential)
Physically fit, reliable, and able to work well as part of a team (essential)
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment (essential)
Safety-conscious and committed to high standards of work (essential)
Previous experience in a yard / warehouse (essential)
Previous experience in a construction environment (preferred)
Basic mechanical knowledge (preferred)
