Full job description

Overview

We are seeking a Finance All-Rounder with experience in both Sage Accounts and Sage HR Payroll . The successful candidate will be responsible for managing supplier invoices, processing payments, reconciling accounts, raising customer invoices, supporting credit control activities, and processing payroll, while helping to ensure the smooth running of the finance department.

Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities, including recording transactions and maintaining accurate financial records using Sage accounting and Sage HR Payroll software
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable by verifying invoices and delivery notes and ensuring timely settlements by our clients
Handle payroll administration and processing by calculating wages, deductions, and pensions while ensuring compliance with all regulations
Reconcile bank statements regularly to ensure consistency between financial records and actual account balances
Assist with month-end and year end closing procedures and prepare financial reports for review
Process quarterly VAT reports and submissions
Support audit preparations by organising documentation and providing detailed transaction histories
Collaborate with team members to improve bookkeeping processes and implement best practices for financial accuracy

Skills

Proficiency in Sage Accounts and Sage HR Payroll
Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and payroll management
Excellent attention to detail with high accuracy in data entry and record keeping
Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a part-time schedule while maintaining quality standards
Good communication skills to work effectively with team members and clients
Expert knowledge of basic accounting principles and compliance requirements related to payroll and accounts payable
