Full job description

Are you looking for a new rewarding role? Do you want to work for a charity that provides care to those at the end of their life?

St Leonard’s Hospice are recruiting a skilled and motivated person to join the Hospice’s Team as a Facilities Assistant.

The Facilities Team performs a crucial function in ensuring the Hospice estate, including the retail outlets, are kept safe with servicing, maintenance and repairs completed in a timely manner and to a high standard.

The role incorporates a variety of tasks including:

Performing basic maintenance/ DIY/ painting tasks
Portering duties including some manual handling
Transporting patients and staff to appointments
Using our Facilities Management system to log tasks and procure items

By doing this role, you will meet and work with a range of colleagues across the organisation and genuinely be making a significant contribution.

Our ideal candidates will:

Use maintenance and DIY skills regularly
Have basic administration and IT skills
Be helpful and professional at all times
Be a team player
Have a sympathetic approach to the philosophy and concept of Hospice care

This is a full-time position working 37.5 hours per week between 8am - 4pm, Monday to Friday and there will be a requirement to be a part of the facilities on-call rota.
