About Us

Solar Tackle is an established trading company based in Dartford, Kent. As we grow our in-house finance team, we're looking for an experienced and detail-focused AR Clerk to join us on a part-time basis. This role would suit someone with solid finance fundamentals, hands-on ERP experience, and a confident approach to credit control and customer collections.

The Role

This is a permanent, on-site role based in our Dartford office, working 25 hours a week (5 hours a day). You'll take ownership of end-to-end accounts receivable — from invoice processing through to payment chasing and ledger maintenance — working closely with colleagues and customers to keep cash flow healthy and AR records up to date.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the full AR process: invoice validation, processing, ledger posting and payment reconciliation
Chase overdue payments and resolve billing queries and disputes promptly and professionally
Keep AR records accurate and up to date on the company ERP system
Prepare aged debtor reports, AR updates and month-end summaries in Excel
Reconcile customer accounts and investigate discrepancies
Support month-end close with accurate AR documentation
Build and maintain good working relationships with customers to keep payments on track

What We're Looking For

Previous experience in Accounts Receivable, Credit Control or a similar finance role
A solid grasp of UK accounting principles and standard AR procedures
Hands-on experience with an ERP finance system
Strong Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, reporting)
A confident, professional communicator, comfortable chasing overdue accounts
High attention to detail and good organisational skills
Able to work independently and hit monthly deadlines
Available for 25 hours a week, on-site in Dartford

Hours & Location

Permanent, part-time. 25 hours/week (5 hours daily). Based on-site in Dartford, Kent — no remote working.
