Powder Coater / Alloy Wheel Refurbishment Technician

We are looking for a practical, reliable and detail-focused person to join our alloy wheel refurbishment team.
You do not need to already be a fully qualified alloy wheel technician. We are happy to train the right person in our full process.
However, this is not a completely entry-level role. We are looking for somebody who already has some hands-on experience working in a workshop, bodyshop, paint shop, powder coating environment, fabrication shop, tyre shop, manufacturing environment or similar.
Experience that would be useful
You may be suitable if you have experience with any of the following:
- Powder coating
- Wet painting or spray painting
- Paint preparation
- Bodyshop or SMART repair preparation
- Sanding and surface preparation
- Using D/A sanders and grinders
- Hand and power tools
- Metal preparation
- Shot blasting or sandblasting
- Industrial coatings
- Alloy wheel refurbishment
- General workshop or manufacturing work
Anyone with previous alloy wheel refurbishment experience is strongly encouraged to apply.

The role
You will be trained to work within our alloy wheel refurbishment process, including preparation and powder coating of alloy wheels.
Depending on your existing experience, your work may include:
- Preparing wheels before coating
- Sanding and correcting surface imperfections
- Masking and preparation
- Using D/A sanders, grinders and other workshop tools
- Powder coating alloy wheels
- Checking finished wheels for defects
- Maintaining a high standard of finish
- Working with the rest of the workshop team to keep jobs moving through production
Full training will be provided on areas of the process you have not previously carried out.
We are looking for somebody who wants to learn, improve and become a long-term member of the team.

Pay: £12.71-£14.00 per hour
