Full job description

Hours will be a minimum of 24 per week and additional hours may be available.

Please note that shifts will be 4am to 1pm; 7am to 4pm; 1pm to 10pm and 7pm to 4am. Shifts will be on a rotational basis.

Looking for a new challenge as a Retail and Service Assistant? Want something different every day? If you enjoy working in retail, with a team and solving problems for customers then this may be a role for you.

Luggage Point are seeking a customer focussed person for the role of Retail and Service Assistant for their two stores based at Edinburgh Airport and Waverley Market. This is a varied and dynamic role within a well-known and highly respected retailer at the airport location.

Skills we are looking for:

· A positive "can-do" attitude and ability to use initiative

· Sales driven and focussed on delivering great service

· Pro-active, great at organising and solving problems

· Professional and understanding manner

· Knowledge of IT systems, databases and operating procedures

What this role is all about?

· Dealing with lost property queries via email, phone calls or face to face

· Retail of travel goods and accessories

· Bag wrapping

· Handling left luggage

· Shipping including providing quotes and parcelling items for courier collection

· Approach customers and provide advice on services offered

· Assist customers with their queries and issues

· Monitor shelves inventory and unload new products when needed

· Maintain a clean and orderly environment in the store

Working at the airport?

No day is ever the same in the airport and this role promises a great deal of variety, from delivering high standards of customer service, delivering retail sales to resolving passengers’ problems and reuniting them with missing items. This role would suit someone who enjoys working with people.

Important

To work within the airport, you must have photo ID in the form of a current passport or driving licence (provisional is acceptable); "right to work" in the UK; provide a full 5 years’ worth of work history and complete a Criminal reference check prior to starting work.
