About the role
Select Car Leasing is looking for a Senior GEO Executive to lead our Generative Engine Optimisation strategy and help shape how the brand is discovered across AI-powered search and conversational platforms.
Working across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Microsoft Copilot and emerging AI search platforms, you’ll be responsible for understanding how these platforms surface and cite information, identifying opportunities for greater visibility and developing strategies to improve our presence.
This is a new role within the Digital Experience team, offering the opportunity to play a key role in shaping our approach to GEO and establishing best practice within a fast-moving area of digital marketing.
What you'll be doing
- Develop and implement Select Car Leasing's GEO strategy.
- Monitor AI platforms, brand visibility, mentions and citations.
- Identify opportunities to improve visibility across AI-generated results.
- Work closely with SEO, Content and Marketing teams to optimise content for AI discovery.
- Test and evaluate new GEO approaches, tools and content formats.
- Develop reporting and KPIs to measure GEO performance and impact.
- Analyse data and trends to inform ongoing strategy.
- Keep up to date with developments across AI search and emerging platforms.
- Act as a key internal point of knowledge for GEO and AI search.
What we're looking for
- 5+ years' experience in SEO, digital marketing, content or a related field.
- Proven experience in GEO / Generative Engine Optimisation, alongside strong SEO fundamentals.
- Good understanding of how AI and large language models are changing search and content discovery.
- Experience with content optimisation, keyword research and structured data.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to turn insights into actionable recommendations.
- A curious, testing-led approach and an interest in emerging technology.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
