Experienced Jig & Fixture Maker (Steel)- Part Time - 2 Fixed Days per Week

Salary: From £18 per hour (depending on experience)

We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Jig & Fixture Maker to join our manufacturing team on a part-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in steel fabrication and welding who takes pride in producing high-quality, precision-built jigs and fixtures. Working closely with our design and production teams, you will be responsible for manufacturing bespoke jigs and fixtures that support efficient, accurate production.

Key Responsibilities

Manufacture steel jigs and fixtures from engineering drawings
Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Work closely with the design team to develop practical manufacturing solutions
Carry out MIG welding and fabrication to a high standard
Ensure all jigs and fixtures are produced accurately and meet quality requirements
Modify and improve existing jigs where required
Maintain a safe, clean, and organised working environment.

Essential Requirements

Proven experience as a Jig & Fixture Maker (essential).
Strong welding and steel fabrication experience.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Excellent attention to detail and precision workmanship.
Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
Strong problem-solving skills and a practical approach to manufacturing.
Full UK driving licence or equivalent
