Full job description

Overview

The IT Support Specialist is a dual‑skilled role responsible for delivering high‑quality technical support across our customers IT systems. This position plays a key part in ensuring customers receive fast, reliable assistance, whether resolving IT issues or supporting the wider service team with day‑to‑day technical operations.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Support

Respond to and resolve IT support tickets in line with service level expectations.
Diagnose and troubleshoot issues across hardware, software, networks, and user devices.
Provide remote and on‑site support to customers as required.
Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and related peripherals.
Keep accurate and up‑to‑date notes within the ticketing system.

Customer Service & Communication

Deliver a friendly, professional, and solution‑focused experience for all customers.
Communicate technical information in a clear, accessible way.
Keep customers updated on ticket progress, expected resolution times, and next steps.
Build strong relationships that reflects our commitment to reliability and service excellence.

Operational Support

Work closely with the IT Support Team Leader to ensure tickets are prioritised and completed efficiently.
Follow established processes for documentation, asset management, and system updates.
Identify recurring issues and suggest improvements to reduce future downtime.
Support the wider team during busy periods or when specialist knowledge is required.
Ensure expense and overtime submissions are completed accurately and on-time, in line with company policy.

Pay: £28,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
