Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Apprentice to join our finance team. This entry-level role offers valuable hands-on experience in financial processes and accounting software, providing a solid foundation for a career in financial services. The successful candidate will assist with various administrative and accounting tasks, contributing to the smooth operation of our finance department. This paid apprenticeship is ideal for individuals eager to develop their skills within a dynamic organisation and gain exposure to industry-standard financial tools.

Overview of Tasks:

Support the accounts payable process, including data entry and invoice processing using accounting software Sage
Processing of daily bank transactions accurately and on time, assist with maintaining bank reconciliations on a daily and weekly basis.
Sales Ledger and Credit Control Support
Purchas Ledger Support
Management Accounting (developed over time)
Assist with maintaining accurate financial records and documentation
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely processing of transactions
Contribute to the organisation of financial documents and records for audit purposes
Learn and adhere to company policies regarding financial procedures and compliance standards

Qualifications

A strong interest in finance, accounting, or related fields
Basic knowledge of accounting software such as Sage desirable but not essential; training will be provided
Experience with data entry and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word)
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work accurately under supervision in a fast-paced environment
Good communication skills and a proactive attitude
Previous experience or coursework related to accounts payable or financial services is a plus but not mandatory
