Yard Operative Builders Merchant

Location: Newhaven

Since 1984, Parkers Building Supplies has supported customers across the Southeast with reliable materials and customerfocused service. As part of Independent Builders Merchants Group (IBMG), we balance local relationships with group expertise.

Were now looking for a reliable Yard Operative to join our team at our Parkers Building Supplies Newhaven Branch

The Role

We are looking for a Yard Operative to support the safe and efficient running of our builders merchant yard.

This is a handson, outdoor role involving heavy building materials and direct customer interaction.

What Youll Be Doing

Load and unload building materials and timber
Pick and prepare customer orders
Assist customers collecting goods from the yard
Maintain a clean, organised and safe yard area
Operate forklift trucks (if trained)
Follow all health and safety procedures

What Were Looking For

Positive, cando attitude
Good communication and customer service skills
Forklift licence (preferred but not essential)
Full UK driving licence
Yard or builders merchant experience (desirable)
Sales or product knowledge is a bonus

Working Hours

Week 1:

Monday Friday 07:0017:00

Week 2:

Monday Friday 07:0017:00
Saturday 08:00 12:00
