Full job description

SoSweet Newquay have a very exciting opportunity for a determined and switched-on individual to join our ever-growing team.

We need a keyholder with a customer service background, to support the Store Manager in our busy customer-facing environment.

Duties will include (but not limited to):

Day to day running of a busy retail sweet shop, with responsibility of cash handling, staff supervision and a key holder.
Training new staff in correct procedures, stock rotation and practices
Maintaining high standards of customer service
Stock ordering and replenishment

Required Skills:

You must be able to work independently as well as lead and work team
Excellent organisational, communication and time management skills
Be conﬁdent in up-selling.
Have good people skills within a fast-paced retail environment.
Retail experience in a supervisory role preferred (training will be given)

The ideal candidate will be positive, fun, friendly and have a professional attitude. You’ll be talking to people constantly and be the face of our new store. This is a part-time role with set hours. Hours vary due to the season, typically 9-6 Sunday, 9-6 Wednesday and 1:30-6 Friday. During peak season hours may vary depending on the store trading hours. More hours are available during holidays and seasonal events and must be flexible to cover sickness absence, up to full time 5 weeks of the year to cover the Store supervisors holidays.

Applicants MUST be hardworking, conscientious, fully flexible, reliable, willing to learn, of smart appearance and over 18 due to single manning legislation.

SoSweet is one of the UK’s leading retail Sweet Shop brands and has seen exponential growth since the launch of its first store in 2014. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing company in the early stages of its development. This role will provide a great inside to all aspects of the business and opportunity for personal development and training.

Pay: £12.71 per hour
