Job Overview

Part time Weekdays- would not be suitable for full time students.

Join our dynamic team as a Deli Assistant, where your enthusiasm and culinary skills will shine! In this lively role, you’ll be the friendly face behind the deli counter, preparing and serving fresh, delicious food to our valued customers. Your energy and attention to detail will help create a welcoming atmosphere, ensuring every guest leaves satisfied and eager to return. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your culinary talents while providing exceptional service in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare a variety of deli items, including sandwiches, salads, and cold cuts, following established recipes and food safety standards
Serve customers with enthusiasm, answering questions about menu items and offering recommendations
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the deli area, including food prep stations and display cases
Assist in stocking shelves, rotating products, and ensuring freshness of all food items
Follow proper food safety procedures during meal preparation and serving to ensure compliance with health regulations
Support kitchen operations by assisting with basic cooking tasks and meal assembly when needed
Provide excellent customer service by serving efficiently and maintaining a positive attitude throughout your shift

Skills

Experience in similar environments is preferable but not essential as full training will be provided.
Strong cooking and food preparation skills with knowledge of kitchen safety practices
Familiarity with meal preparation techniques and food safety standards
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
Excellent communication skills for serving customers and collaborating with team members
Basic culinary experience that includes handling various ingredients safely and effectively
Passion for delivering high-quality food and exceptional service to every guest
