We’re known for our craftsmanship, quality, and friendly service — and we’re looking for a warm, enthusiastic Fireplace Showroom Salesperson to join our team.
Position Summary
As a Fireplace Showroom Salesperson, you’ll help customers choose the perfect fireplace for their home. This role blends friendly, helpful customer service with design awareness and product knowledge. You’ll guide customers through their options, explain how different products work, and make sure they feel confident and excited about their choice.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Consultation
Welcome customers into the showroom and chat with them about what they’re looking for.
Offer helpful, personalised recommendations based on their style, needs, and budget.
Build positive relationships with homeowners, builders, and designers.
Product Education
Explain the differences between gas, electric, and wood‑burning options in a clear, friendly way.
Help customers understand how each product works, including safety and maintenance.
Keep up to date with new products and industry trends.
Design Support
Assist customers in choosing mantels, surrounds, finishes, and decorative features.
Help them visualise how different styles will look in their home.
Review measurements and plans to make sure everything fits and works safely.
Quotations & Administration
Prepare accurate quotes for products, accessories, delivery, and installation.
Communicate with suppliers and installers about pricing and availability.
Keep customer records tidy and well‑organised.
Lead Management
Follow up with customers to answer questions and move projects forward.
Manage the full sales process from first enquiry to final installation.
Encourage repeat business and referrals through great service.
Showroom Presentation
Keep displays clean, tidy, and looking their best.
Make sure products are clearly priced and well presented.
Help with layout changes and showroom updates.
Essential Requirements
Sales Experience
- At least 2 years’ experience in retail or customer‑facing sales, ideally in home improvement or similar sectors.
- Confident in meeting sales targets and closing sales in a friendly, supportive way.
Technical & Product Aptitude
- Comfortable learning about fireplace products, heating systems, and basic installation requirements.
- Able to explain technical information in a simple, reassuring way.
- Confident reading measurements, plans, and drawings.
- Good spatial awareness and an eye for how products fit into a room.
- Understanding of how design choices work with different interiors.
Customer Service Excellence
- Warm, friendly communication style with the ability to build trust quickly.
- A patient, helpful approach to guiding customers through decisions.
- Strong listening skills and the ability to understand customer needs.
IT & Administration
- Confident using email, Microsoft Office, and basic CRM or POS systems.
- Able to prepare accurate quotes and keep records organised.
Organisation & Time Management
- Comfortable managing several enquiries and projects at once.
- Reliable, self‑motivated, and happy working independently or as part of a small team.
Personal Qualities
- Friendly, enthusiastic, and dependable.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in quality.
- Full UK driving licence is desirable.
- Able to work Saturdays as part of the regular schedule.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in fireplaces, heating, construction, or home improvement is helpful but not essential.
Understanding of home renovation or new‑build projects.
Experience preparing customer quotations or using CRM systems.

Pay: £24,420.00-£50,000.00 per year
