Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced (essential - do not apply if you do not have direct experience) and dedicated Waiter/Waitress to join our vibrant hospitality team. This post entails eveniong and weekend work. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for delivering exceptional guest service, demonstrate a thorough understanding of food and beverage operations, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an opportunity to showcase your culinary knowledge and guest relations skills while contributing to a memorable dining experience for our patrons.

Duties

Greet guests warmly and ensure they feel welcomed upon arrival.
Take accurate food and drink orders, providing recommendations and upselling where appropriate.
Serve food and beverages efficiently, maintaining high standards of presentation and quality.
Ensure all health and safety regulations, including food safety standards, are strictly adhered to during service.
Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed, supporting kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
Manage guest enquiries promptly, resolving any issues with professionalism and courtesy.
Clear tables promptly and maintain cleanliness in the dining area throughout service hours.
Handle cash transactions accurately using the POS system, ensuring proper billing procedures.
Support colleagues during busy periods to ensure seamless service delivery.

Skills

Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant environments, with a strong understanding of guest service principles.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper handling of food and beverages.
Experience in food preparation or kitchen operations is advantageous.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tables efficiently.
Strong time management skills to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Good communication skills, able to engage guests positively and handle requests courteously.
Basic maths skills for processing payments accurately.
Culinary experience or knowledge of menu items can enhance guest interactions through informed recommendations.
