Vehicle Technician / Mechanic

Hynes Motors – Family Run Car Dealership

Location: Hilltown, Newry

Job Type: Full-Time

Salary: Competitive (Based on Experience)

Hynes Motors is a family-run dealership specialising in quality Audi, BMW and Volkswagen vehicles. Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced and motivated Vehicle Technician / Mechanic to join our workshop.

If you take pride in your work, have strong diagnostic skills, and enjoy working in a professional, fast-paced environment, we’d love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs to a high standard.
Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults.
Perform vehicle health checks and pre-delivery inspections.
Use manufacturer diagnostic equipment, including ODIS, to accurately diagnose faults.
Complete timing belts, clutches, suspension work, brakes, engine repairs and general mechanical work.
Ensure all work is completed efficiently while maintaining excellent quality.
Keep accurate records of work carried out.
Work closely with the sales team to prepare vehicles for retail.

Requirements

Previous experience as a qualified Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
Strong knowledge of Audi vehicles (Volkswagen Group experience is highly desirable).
Experience using ODIS diagnostic software.
Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic abilities.
Full UK driving licence.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
High attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
