Job description

You will be responsible for packing all manufactured goods within the business and maintaining a safe and clean working environment. Working as part of a team to successfully assist in the running of 12 injection moulding machines, with state-of-the-art robots and take off systems. We run a unique and forward-thinking production department, and the role would suite a proactive and forward-thinking individual.

The role will require experience of moulding machines or relevant technical experience, allow the efficient set up and running of the machines to meet production targets

The role will include basic training on the robots and ancillary equipment for the right candidate.

Adventa are known for quality and customer service, we maintain this way of thinking for every department within the business. Your role as Night Production Operative is vital to the global success of the business.

Typical hours: 9pm to 6am, Sunday evening through to Friday morning (5 nights per week)

Hourly wage ranges as shown in this advert are inclusive of the night shift allowance of 20%. Base day rate is the night rate divided by 1.2. The pay offered is dependent on the experience and qualifications of the candidate.

Responsibilities:

Packing from machine conveyers into boxes onto pallets
Packing product neatly and in a timely manner, with an organised approach
Helping with the day-to-day running of the department
Daily cleanliness of department, emptying bins and preparing reject material for re-grinding
Manual handling of product and physically demanding tasks
Book manufactured stock into ERP system
Manual month departmental stock checks to ensure accurate stock information
Quality Control – Adventa operate to ISO 9001 standard, accurate first off / last off samples with qc sheet completed
Be proactive with running off works orders, printing box labels and ensuring stock is manufactured on-time
Working as part of a strong team, willingness to fulfil other tasks when requested is a must
Have the ability to progress within Adventa with the right ‘can do attitude’
Occasional day-shift work will be required, for training and support as requested
Any other duties as directed

Key Skills/Attributes/Qualifications:

Knowledge of multiple injection moulding materials and polymers
Experience of injection moulding machines, setting and optimisation
Operating a machine maintenance programme
Operating a maintenance programme
Enthusiastic
Problem solving attitude
Work alongside others as part of a strong team
Be proactive in your approach and extremely reliable
Basic IT competence
Strong ‘can do’ attitude
Willing to learn and maintain a flexible outlook
