Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for automotive technology and a commitment to quality service. The position is paid and suitable for those eager to develop their skills within a professional environment.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday 8:30am-5:30pm

Duties

Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify faults and issues
Perform repairs and maintenance tasks including engine work, brake repairs, and suspension servicing
Use hand tools and power tools effectively to carry out repairs and diagnostics
Replace or repair faulty parts, ensuring all work meets safety standards
Test vehicles after repairs to confirm proper functioning
Maintain accurate records of all work performed
Assist with vehicle diagnostics using specialised equipment
Ensure the workshop remains clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations
Assist in the training of apprentices or junior staff as required

Qualifications

Proven mechanical knowledge of various vehicle systems and components
Experience using hand tools and power tools in a workshop setting
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling vehicle parts or equipment
Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure
Relevant qualifications or certifications in automotive technology are preferred

Please note, salary is dependent on experience.
