Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Hard Surface Repair Technician to join our specialised team. This role involves restoring and maintaining a variety of hard surfaces, including flooring, countertops, and other structural elements, ensuring they meet high standards of quality and durability. Responsibilities
- Assessing damaged or worn hard surfaces to determine appropriate repair methods
- Preparing surfaces by cleaning, sanding, or applying primers as necessary
- Repairing cracks, chips, scratches, and other surface imperfections using specialised materials and techniques
- Colour-matching and blending repairs seamlessly with existing surfaces for a uniform finish
- Applying protective coatings or sealants to extend the lifespan of repaired surfaces
- Operating various tools and equipment safely and efficiently during repair processes
- Maintaining accurate records of work performed and materials used
- Ensuring all work complies with health and safety regulations and company standards
Requirements
- Proven experience in hard surface repair or related trades such as tiling, flooring, or restoration is desirable
- Strong attention to detail with an eye for colour matching and finishing quality
- Ability to read technical drawings or instructions accurately
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Physical fitness to handle lifting, bending, and working in confined spaces for extended periods
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to repairs
- A valid driving licence is preferred for travel between sites
- Relevant certifications or training in surface repair techniques will be advantageous
