Overview
Maverick Controls is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Control Panel Builder to join our growing team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the assembly and wiring of electrical control panels in line with project specifications, industry standards, and company quality requirements. This role plays a key part in delivering high-quality control systems to our clients across industrial and commercial sectors.
Responsibilities
- Build and wire electrical control panels from schematic diagrams, layouts, and technical drawings.
- Interpret electrical schematics, panel layouts, and wiring schedules accurately.
- Assemble components including PLCs, relays, contactors, terminal blocks, VFDs, and instrumentation.
- Label components and wiring in accordance with company and industry standards.
- Identify and rectify faults during build and testing phases.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
- Work collaboratively with the design and commissioning teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Complete build documentation and quality checklists accurately.
Skills
- Proven experience as a Control Panel Builder or Electrical Technician.
- Strong understanding of electrical schematics and control system design.
- Experience with industrial control components and wiring techniques.
- Familiarity with PLC systems and automation equipment.
- Ability to work from detailed technical drawings and specifications.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Good problem-solving and fault-finding skills.
- Knowledge of relevant electrical standards and regulations.
- Ability to manage time effectively and meet project deadlines.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour
